The timer flicker light will stay on for 6 hours from the time you turn it on, then shut off for 18 hours. It will repeat that cycle each day as long as you leave it on. Shutting off the on/off switch allows you to reset the time you would like it to turn on. It comes with a homespun fabric tie to complete its charming style and uses 3 AAA batteries (batteries not included).
